ENERGOFÓRUM® 2019 to put spotlight on blockchain and smart technology
The next edition of energy conference takes place on October 17 – 18, 2019 in Slovakia. Many expert speakers from abroad enrich this year's programme, which is focused not only on electricity and gas market but also on heating.
Conference ENERGOFÓRUM® 2019 takes place on October 17 – 18, 2019 in Hotel Partizán in Lower Tatras in Slovakia where representatives of the most important companies and institutions of the energy meet again.
The opening speech belongs to one of the world's most respected experts in blockchain technology Michael Merz. The founder of PONTON GmbH will talk about utilization of blockchain in the energy sector. „This will comprise the application of the blockchain technology for decentralized trading in the wholesale sector regarding flexibility trading and also in the neighbourhood,“ he declares. „I am looking forward to present to you how all this works.“
The ideas of the first keynote speaker will be followed by panel dedicated to smart energy in digital era. Representatives of universities and innovative companies will discuss the future of the sector based on the integration of green energy into the grid and transition to smart flexibility management.
Following huge success from last year, Michal Šnobr, an external advisor to the J&T Finance Group in energy sector, will again present at ENERGOFÓRUM® . This year he will focus on the future of energy mix of Central and Eastern European countries. Is nuclear energy the salvation of Eastern Europe?
Emphasis also on heating
In recent years, ENERGOFÓRUM® conferences have been bringing together topics in the field of electricity and natural gas. This year's edition is interesting for the fact that the heating and cooling sector will receive more attention than ever before. There will be an expert discussion about the current state and the prospects of centralized heating in Slovakia and Europe.
Currently hot topic in Slovakia is the new support scheme for green energy. The company OKTE will play the key role in this regard. Its representatives along with other experts will discuss the implementation of the new legal rules at the ENERGOFÓRUM®.
Another panel will focus on the European energy and climate policy to 2030. Following discussion is dedicated to the new set-up of electricity market and the upcoming roles for the various market players. Dedicated experts will also debate on development of regional infrastructure projects and changes in commodities trading.
The conference ENERGOFÓRUM® 2019 will be held under the auspices of The Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic.
